Dear Amanda & Neil,

The participants of the Texas A & M University's "Aggies" have returned home with a first-hand appreciation of many aspects of agriculture and agri-business in Australia. Their Aussie hosts received them with great affection, transparency of information, as well as being receptive to their questions. They will take home many happy memories. The hospitality shown during the journey was fabulous.

The journey was considered a remarkable learning experience showing best practice, innovative and efficient operations of the enterprises and organizations they met. There is an appreciation by the group members of the efforts to adapt to changing technologies, market forces and attitudes.

Quadrant Australia has been responsible for escorting many overseas delegations in all aspects of Australian primary industries, including on-site visits to agri-business, processing, research, training and education. This is a task we take seriously, with an awareness of the many sensitive issues that are important to the future well-being of these industries.

Both here as well as in the USA the average age of farmers is high and in this light encouraging young people to pursue agricultural and agri-business careers is important for the future wellbeing of the industry.

Amanda & Neil, it was great of you to host the group at your stud. Thank you for making your time, extensive knowledge and experience so freely available whilst with the group. The visit was most informative and the participants were most impressed. Afternoon tea was great!!!! They bought 10 stockwhips in Toowoomba. Please find attached visit group photo.

Thank you for your involvement in helping to make the student group visit to Australia so worthwhile.

Yours Sincerely
Kees Van Haasteren, Project Manager Quadrant Australia
